Find outdoors adventure both winter and summer! In addition to being the highest ski area in the Eastern United States, the resort offers 17 slopes on 98 skiable acres with plenty of runs for every skill level. And with a vertical drop of 830 feet Beech Mountain Resort stands out as the premier ski resort in the South. Snowboarders love the two terrain parks. Off the slopes, the snow tubing park is fun for all with no experience needed.
The Alpine Village at the base of the slopes features a gift shop, eateries, a craft brewery, and a ski school. Restaurants include the Beech Mountain Brewing Taproom and Grill, The Lodge central dining hub, Red Baron aviation-themed bar and First Chair Coffee Shop.
Come summertime, the snow has melted and the slopes are converted to downhill mountain biking trails complete with lift access. For a more leisurely adventure, take a scenic lift ride up to the mountaintop 5,506′ Skybar. Ride the lift down or play the 18-hole disc golf course as you descend. Summer events include Mile High Yoga, July 4th festivities and fireworks, and their outdoor concert series.
