Beech Mountain is the highest town in eastern America and home to parks, lakes, and trails, some of which are partially or fully accessible. Beech Mountain welcomes all visitors to experience the natural beauty offered here and is committed to sharing all our accessible and inclusive outdoor spaces and continually improving the information provided.
Beech Mountain’s paved Greenway trail is short and easily located in the heart of town. Take a gentle stroll through shady trees, Wynn Memorial Park, the Beech Mountain Bark Park, and past several iconic Beech Mountain businesses! In the winter, the Greenway hosts our Trail of Lights.
Several paved walking paths are also available around Lake Coffey and the Buckeye Recreation Center Loop. Take in the beautiful lake and valley views while enjoying the great outdoors. Buckeye Recreation Center is also wheelchair accessible with restrooms and water fountains located inside.
