Runs for Buns 2026 – Ski and Snowboard for a Cause. Join us on Saturday, March 7, 2026, for Runs for Buns, an exciting event benefiting the Colon Cancer Coalition. This annual ski and snowboard challenge is your chance to enjoy a full day on the slopes while supporting a vital cause. Our goal is to raise $100,000, and we need your help to make it happen!
How It Works
Participants will ski or snowboard throughout the day, with every run tracked at Lift 5 gates. Whether you’re an individual or part of a team, every run you complete counts toward awards and bragging rights. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., so get ready to hit the slopes all day long. Registration -Advance registration is required—no day-of registration will be accepted. Register as an individual or team today to secure your spot. Entry Fee: $10 per participant. Season Pass Holders: Only need to pay the entry fee. Lift Tickets: Discounted rates available for all participants. Watauga and Avery County students, teachers, and healthcare workers can purchase tickets for just $10, with all proceeds supporting the Colon Cancer Coalition. Awards Ceremony: After a day of skiing and snowboarding, stick around for the awards ceremony at 5:30 p.m., followed by live music.
