This quaint storybook mountain village has a charming downtown filled with local shops, galleries, restaurants, Blowing Rock Art & History Museum (free admission) and even a waterfall hiking trail. A walk down Blowing Rock’s Main Street feels like a bit of a throw-back to yesteryear Americana. The downtown park is a great place to relax and for kids to play.
The town is also home to The Blowing Rock, a famous cliff featuring strong wind gusts that blow light objects. Just outside of town is Moses Cone Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway with many miles of hiking trails and an historic manor house with local art. Also find Tweetsie Railroad amusement park and Mystery Hill.
