The Town of Beech Mountain appreciates all the visitors who travel here to enjoy our wonderful winter weather. However, we need to remind everyone that the country is in the midst of a pandemic, and that abundant caution and personal responsibility must be exercised.
North Carolina requires masks, indoor and out, spacing of at least 6 feet between people who don’t live in the same household, and outdoor crowds are limited to a maximum of 50 people. Our town departments and businesses have procedures in place, but our visitors must also consider their own safety. If you travel to Beech Mountain on weekends and holidays, there is a likelihood that you will encounter crowds and some individuals who don’t abide by the state requirements. You will also encounter wait times at restaurants, public restrooms, the Visitor Center, the ski resort, and most local shops. The Town has opened a second sledding hill, also for kids 12 and under, but you may still encounter crowds there as well. Non-holiday weekdays are less crowded, so please consider your options when planning travel.
We need you to help all of us, residents, employees and visitors alike, stay safe during this challenging time.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
