Beech Mountain is the place...

Up here, cold weather never brings us down. In fact, it’s the most exciting time of year, and the best time to plan your North Carolina ski trip. That’s because Beech Mountain Resort was made for winter — and there’s no shortage of recreational opportunities when it rolls around.

As the highest resort in Eastern America, Ski Beech is home to some of the finest snowboarding and snow skiing in North Carolina. The resort offers both day and night snow skiing, snowboarding, tubing and ice skating, with nine runs on the front side of the mountain and double-sided runs on the mountain's backside.

Snowboarders will also enjoy the region’s premier half-pipe and terrain park, which opened at Ski Beech in the 2008-2009 season, as well as Meadows Park, which is dedicated to beginning snowboarders. The resort also recently created a new run reserved exclusively for snow tubing, which is great fun for kids and adults of all ages.

Ski Beech Resort welcomes around 100 inches of natural snowfall each winter and boasts the region’s premier snowmaking capabilities. The resort is also served by the only high-speed quad ski lift in North Carolina, which offers its passengers spectacular, sweeping views of the surrounding countryside.

AFallsnd even if you’re not up for the steep grades, you can still enjoy the outdoors at Ski Beech. The resort’s Alpine Village centerpiece is a 7,000-square-foot ice skating rink — where children and adults can skate to their heart’s content. Just outside Ski Beech, the sledding hill remains a popular attraction among children. The hill is even outfitted with its own snowmaking machines, ensuring an extra-long and enjoyable winter for sledders as it is for those making North Carolina ski trips.
